Go Word Description

Go Word is a Mac OS X word editor featuring a clean and uncluttered user interface designed to help you write documents as efficiently as possible. Go Word includes an upper toolbar with shortcuts to the most commonly used actions, such as save, print, undo / redo, colors or fonts. Furthermore, the text editing pane includes a ruler, layout, margins and the ability to toggle invisible characters. You can also add images, page / paragraph / line breaks, hyperlinks, date and time, page numbers and tables. The context menu of selected text displays OS X’s integrated options including look up (in the built-in dictionary), cut, copy, paste, spelling and grammar, substitutions and more. The lower bar displays the number of selected words and characters, the current page and two buttons to jump straight to the next or previous page. Thus, if you want to count all the words or characters in your text, you can simply use the CMD + A shortcut and check the lower toolbar. This information (plus more) is also available in the Statistics window, accessed via the Get Info button on the upper toolbar. In addition to the word counter, it also shows the number of lines, paragraphs and offers options to lock the file, make it read-only, or to back it up automatically at a custom interval. From the lower toolbar, you can also use a drop-down menu to select the zoom level (25%, 50%, 75%, etc.) or choose the Fit Page Width and Fit Page options. Like any decent word processor, Go Word also features a bar above the text editor for quickly choosing the font, font type and size, text color and options such as justify, align, make bold, etc. Another important feature is the Inspector window which allows you to change the number of columns and gutter in your document. It also allows you to adjust the document’s margins. Moreover, the Inspector lets you change other page parameters such as spacing, indentation and baseline shift. When you’re done editing your document, you can export it as PDF or to popular formats like RTF, TXT, HTML and DOC.
