A music harmonization tool This freeware application grew out of the developer's book, Cybernetic Music (1985) TAB Books Inc. That spare time work demonstrated the creation of melody using computers. But to present a result, the composer—not the computer—had to harmonize it. Since that time (1984), I've been trying to capture the logic I use for harmonization. Doing so has led to this program.But "spare time work" keeps getting disconnected as computer models and their languages undergo frequent change. The "New Theory" program collects the information and calculators currently used to design a more general composition program. The probability of a more permanent disconnect suggests releasing this now so that such work might be carried on by anyone with the necessary time and interest. What's New in This Release: Fixed: · Reformatted "Group" label in Scale calculator. · Added "Play" button to Tension calculator. · Closing the harmonization calculator closes the gammadel window if it is open. · Algorithms for some calculators simplified.
