MacLorem generates random filler text for artists, graphic designers, typesetters Most people who have done mock-ups are familiar with the classic Lorem ipsum phrase, the Latin text which is often used to fill in spaces where text will be put at a later time.MacLorem uses the classic "Lorem ipsum" phrase to generate random text, providing more variety and a more non-repetitive, realistic and naturally uneven look.Simply clicking on a button marked Generate will create random text, placing it in MacLorem's main window and simultaneously placing it on your clipboard so it is ready to paste into the document you are designing.The preferences settings allow you to generate text using vocabulary from fifteen different languages:· Lorem ipsum Latin· an all-uppercase version called LOREM IPSVM· Champagnois Old French (a language many medieval poets used)· Old English· Middle High German· Old Dutch· Finnish· Ancient Greek· Etruscan· an old, romanized form of Japanese· Swahili· Proto-Indo-European (the predecessor to most European and many Asian languages)· Quenya (an "ancient" language invented by author J.R.R. Tolkien)· Hawaiian· Gibberish (entirely non-language text)MacLorem allows you to export the text to a plain text file. if text is generated with p or br tags, it will automatically be exported as HTML code. There is also an option to encode special characters such as "", "", etc. for HTML when saving.
