Word War vi is your basic side-scrolling shoot 'em up '80s style arcade game. Word War vi is your basic side-scrolling shoot 'em up '80s style arcade game. You pilot your "vi"per craft through core memory, rescuing lost .swp files, avoiding OS defenses, and wiping out those memory hogging emacs processes. When all the lost .swp files are rescued, head for the socket which will take you to the next node in the cluster.Controls:Pressing 'q' puts in a quarter and starts the game. Arrow keys (or, of course vi's hjkl keys) to move 'z' or spacebar fires signal number -9 (lazer)'b' injects NULL pointer into execution stream (drops a bomb)'c' forks to evade pursuers (throws chaff) 'A' advances to a new level (This is really just for debugging)'9' commits suicide (just for debugging)Requirements:· the gnome libraries and header files· portaudio library· libsndfile libraryWhat's New in This Release:· Added --thicklines option.· Add --thicklines option to man page.· Added icons· Keep track of how many objects there are instead of just looping over MAX_OBJS objects for moving and drawing. What's New in This Release: · New enemies, Tesla towers and Gunwheels, were added to later levels. · The difficulty of levels was tweaked to try to make the increase in difficulty ramp up more smoothly and gradually. · Cosmetic improvements were made to the appearance and motion of the Space Octopi. · The duration of Xbox 360 controller rumble effects was shortened to 1/4th of a second to make the effects correlate more sharply with the events which cause them.
