RetroVaders is a Space Invaders remake.RetroVaders is a freeware "tribute" to Space Invaders, released for Linux and Windows.In case anyone hasn't ever played space invaders before (anyone?) the game is played as follows: shoot the aliens before they reach the bottom of the screen. Shoot bonus UFOs for extra points, hide behind or shoot through the bunkers, avoid getting shot.Well folks, it doesn't get much more retro than this. Released nearly 30 years ago Space Invaders was the game that kick-started an industry and this is my little tribute to it. After all, EVERY programmer has to try his hand at writing a version of this game at some point, so why not get it out of the way?Personally I blame Retro Gamer magazine and their two-month long complete history of Space Invaders for putting the idea into my head.
