encfs-servicemenu Description

KDE servicemenu to mount/unmount EncFS encrypted filesystems encfs-servicemenu is a little KDE service menu that allows you to mount/unmount EncFS encrypted filesystems. It relies on a bash script to better control the mount/unmount process of the EncFS filesystems and reports errors.Developer commentsI tested it on KDE 3.5.9 and EncFS 1.4.2, but it should work with other versions as well. Feel free to suggest improvements!HOW TO INSTALL1) As user, copy "encfs-servicemenu.desktop"in ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/2) As root, copy "encfs-servicemenu.sh" in/usr/local/bin and make it executable.HOW TO USEClick on the encrypted EncFS directory and select "Mount". For unmounting, click on the (plain) mountpoint directory and select "Unmount". The unmount process also remove the mountpoint directory.By default, the script create the mountpoint in /tmp/_EncFS_$DIR (where $DIR is the encrypted EncFS directory you are trying to mount). Note that the mountpoint can be easly changed into the bash script (see the variable ENCFS_MOUNTPOINT_PREFIX). Dialog and error messages are localized in english and italian (UTF8), but it is very easy to add a new translation. Requirements: · KDE
