Cogl Description

Cogl is an open source and small software library designed to act as a low level OpenGL abstraction module for the Clutter library, allowing it to use 3D graphics hardware for rendering. Not only that Cogl is developed especially for the Clutter open source graphics library, but it is also part of the Clutter project. Clutter uses the Cogl library to provide a common rendering API (Application Programming Interface) that works transparently across OpenGL ES 1.1, OpenGL ES 2.0, and OpenGL >=1.4. Developers can use the Cogl library to build orthogonal components that can render.
