OpenTail is an open source and completely free graphical software written in C++ and Qt, and designed to act as a front-end to the tail command-line software for easy monitoring of log files. OpenTail is designed in such a way that it includes system tray notification support, email notification, highlight and much more functions that will be implemented in future versions. It is the perfect tool for beginner system administrators or end-users who want to just be notified if a change appears in a log file. The application supports simultaneous monitoring of multiple log files.
