Rich Text Area ActiveX Control RTA-X 1.0 by MS Home Productions Here you see a demonstration of the Rich Text Area ActiveX Control RTA-X version 1.0. Experience, how simply you can produce formatted text and then further-process it in your application. (DVD backup application for Mac) The standard-formattings are supported: bold italic underlined combined As you can recognize, also lists are supported. Moreover, 3 additional font-styles (S1 until S3) are supported, that you can adjust afterwards by using Cascaded Style Sheets (CSS) . The component offers a series of functions, that the data-transfer to your Internet-Application (ASP, CGI,...) eases: getText: hands over the content of the input-window menu (Create DVD video disc with DVD Menu and DVD subtitles) in text-form setText: entitle the content of the input-window menu with the text (without formattings) getRTF: hands over the content of the input-window menu in RTF-Format setRTF: entitle the content of the input-window menu with the RTF-Formatierten text. All formattings of the text are not adopted with it but on the RTA-X formattings were converted getHTML: hands over the content of the input-window menu in HTML-Formatiertem text. The character sets are converted to it into the CSS-Klassen s1 until s3. setHTML: entitle the content of the input-window menu with the HTML-Formatierten text. All formattings are not adopted. The best, this realization works with content, that was won with the getHTML-Funktion. getPage: a complete HTML-Seite returns including the CSS-Formatierung of the content. The functions setText, setRTF and setHTML can be handed also in form of parameters within the definition of the RTA-X object. By this a preselection of the content can be reached in simple way. 3 further parameters are supported: setMax : set the maximum length of the text in Bytes, 0=default means no length-limitation, setLanguage : set the language for information and tips, English or German, setViewConversion : set, whether the input by Copy and paste or getRTF into the control will be converted to standard-looklike, TRUE: Adaptation takes place, FALSE: no adaptation (more quickly) setKey: set the Key you get with the registration of the control setUser: set the User you get with the registration of the control Much fun with the use of RTA-X.
