PrinterShare allows you to print your documents and pictures on remote printers. The program has a streamlined interface, which can be accessed from an icon at the System Tray. The initial setting is quite simple, but, if you have any difficulty, you can find the necessary answers on the online documentation. After this first step, sending your files to a previously configured printer is a piece of the pie. The program works in two modes. First, there is the local network mode, which can automatically find other shared printers on the same local area network. Yet, if you need to print files at longer distances, it is possible to connect through the PrinterShare network. Fortunately, creating an account for this service is free. Depending on the mode, you can find shared printers all over the network or the Internet. Once you add a printer, it appears as an option on the Print dialog box. If you are worried about intruders accessing to your printers, do not worry; as, for anybody to access a printer, it needs to be previously shared. However, I wish it could be possible to use passwords as a means of protection. It is good that the tool supports viewing the list of incoming files on a particular printer, so it is easy to monitor what is being printed at the moment. One of the great advantages of this tool is that there are versions for portable devices. This way, you can easily send documents directly from your phone to any printer connected to your computer, for instance.
