FireShot Description

While screenshots aren’t that difficult to capture, grabbing the image of an entire website page is another story altogether, since they usually cover more than the size of the screen. FireShot is a small utility created for the Firefox browser that can capture, edit, organize, export, upload and print web page screenshots. The app has a simple interface and an intuitive design that should be quite easy to figure out. As mentioned, the app integrates into the browser’s interface. The icon is placed in the right side of the address bar, giving you easy access to it. The program has the ability to capture various types of screenshots, such as the entire page, only the visible area, a selection or the browser window. Additionally, you may choose to capture the entire page and open the editing window. The images may be saved to an image format or as PDF. Furthermore, you can upload, print, email, copy to Clipboard or open the screenshot in an external image editor. The integrated photo editor enables users to add shapes or pointers, to draw or include images to the picture, as well as annotations. For the latter, you may pick the font name, size, color and alignment. Through the app’s general settings, you can specify an output directory and a name template for the files. FireShot supports several file formats, such as JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP. All in all, FireShot is a nice utility that can come in handy quite often. Less experienced users shouldn’t have any problems in figuring out all its features. Reviewed by Gabriela Vatu, last updated on December 2nd, 2014
