Enesys RS Data Extension is an extension that makes it possible to use sharepoint lists and document library for building reports with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services.SharePoint lists are great for information sharing but users often complain that there is no effective solution for printing lists data.With Enesys RS Data Extension, you can do this and more.Graphics integrationCombined with the use of Web Part's reports viewing function provided with the service pack 2 for Reporting Services, it is possible to integrate graphics on team sites or portal areas without having to develop a specific component.Enable viewing of a sub-set from a listThe reports can be executed in the user security context defined at the level of the Reporting Services data source. It is thus possible to display data from SharePoint lists with no need to assign rights for this list to the users who will execute the report. This may be useful, for example, for a list of contacts whose addresses and telephone numbers you do not want to display to all employees. You can build as many reports as necessary to display different views of the contact list (e.g.: with and without phone numbers) and give the necessary permissions to access those reports without having to maintain multiple lists.
