PdfGolds Converter Description
PdfGolds Converter is a lightweight cross-platform utility built specifically for helping you convert DOC, PPT and image files to PDF. Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry. You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need perform conversion operations on the fly. PdfGolds Converter sports a straightforward interface that allows users to add files to the list by using the built-in browse button. When it comes to uploading file images, the application works with the following file formats: JPG, BMP, WMF, and EMF. Another important feature worth mentioning gives you the possibility to embed watermarks, which can be customized in terms of alignment, font style, size and number. Additionally, you can make the program automatically open the files at the end of the conversion process, and pick the page size (A4, A3 or A2) when converting images to PDF. During our testing we have noticed that the application accomplishes a task quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. It doesn’t eat up CPU and memory, so it doesn’t hamper system performance. On the downside, PdfGolds Converter doesn’t offer support for batch processing, which means you cannot upload multiple files and convert them at the same time. All things considered, PdfGolds Converter provides good image quality and, thanks to its intuitive layout, it can be mastered by all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
