DVD Cloner 2013 is a professional program that lets its users clone their DVDs and store them in their computers, or make other disc copies. It can create 1:1 disc copies or rip just the main movie from the DVD to save space, bypassing all known protections without problems. Installation Installation is quite straightforward and won’t frustrate you at all. It has absolutely no settings to configure and the main installation process will finish quickly. The setup package is 100% clean; no viruses, Trojans, adware or any other types of malware are included in the setup package. Also, it’s free of additional advertised software. Supported operating systems are Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32-bit only). Interface The program has two modern interfaces (Express and Expert) and you can switch between them whenever you want to. Express interface is used for typical DVD copies from one DVD to another, whilst Expert mode also gives you the option to rip a DVD movie to your hard disk, burn an ISO file or a DVD movie folder to a DVD, as well as combine multiple DVDs to one DVD or Blu-ray disc. Apart from these differences, both interfaces share the same buttons and options. These include buttons that change skin (“Classical” and “Silver” are available only), access the settings window, open the Help file and download Open DVD Ripper 3 Lite/Stream-Cloner Lite. Pros A perfect 1:1 copy can be created either from a DVD-5 to DVD-5 or DVD-9 to DVD-9. The DVD copy protection methods such as Macrovision, AACS, CPPM, RC, RCE, UOPs, APS and RipGuard can all be bypassed so that you don’t have to worry about these stuff. The same goes for region codes too. An interesting feature of the program is that it can combine two DVDs to one DVD-R DL or copy multiple DVDs (up to 6 discs) to one Blu-ray disc. This is really useful for saving space and money, and also for keeping your movies more organized in discs. If you have a movie in a DVD-9 disc then DVD Cloner can compress it into a DVD-5 disc without even removing extra features like menus, subtitles, etc. But if you are a quality freak and don’t want to lose quality or extra features but don’t have a DVD-9 disc, you can split the movie into two DVD-5 discs. You have full control over to what you want to rip. You can just keep the main movie and exclude everything else, or only copy the audio and subtitles. The choice is yours. Movies in 3D format can be copied too. Cons A first glance may trick you into believing that it only has very few and basic features. However with a little digging you can see that it has quite a lot of options and settings.
