App Chef Description

App Chef is a tiny and straightforward Mac OS X application that enables you to convert 2 or more applications with PPC and Intel architecture into a Universal Binary application. The utility is designed to eliminate the need to create a folder inside an app and copy the plist and other resources in it. Instead, all you have to do is to drag and drop your application onto App Chef’s user interface and click the “Create” button. Afterwards, a confirmation dialog will pop-up on your screen. Keep in mind the first app you drop is the one that will be converted to Universal Binary. Furthermore, the application proper is the one that gets modified, and not the binary from the ./Contents/MacOS/ directory. As for the supported CPU architectures, App Chef can work with PPC 32, PPC 64, Intel 32 and Intel 64. As a final note, it is important to know that, due to the nature of the application, App Chef is not signed; therefore, you must allow applications downloaded from anywhere via the System Preferences > Security & Privacy, if you have not done so already. To conclude, App Chef is a free and lightweight utility designed to turn your PPC or Intel applications into Universal Binary in an instant. It requires minimal effort from the user and does the job incredibly fast. It you need an UB app creator, you might want to take a closer look at App Chef.
