ANTLR Description

ANTLR (ANother Tool for Language Recognition) is a free and open-source language recognition framework that allows developers to build compilers, interpreters, recognizers and translators from grammatical descriptions including actions in numerous languages. ANTLR offers great support for translation, error recovery, error reporting, construction, and tree walking. Being developed using Java, ANTLR is a cross-platform framework that can be used on any operating system that comes with Java support (e.g. Mac OS X, Windows, Linux).
