Create Analysis Reports from your AB1 files, View DNA sequences and chromatograms, sort chromatograms by quality. We offer a software bundle with three programs to make your DNA analysis faster and easier. Mac Sequence View is a drag-and-drop application that will generate quality reports for your DNA sequences. Simply drag-and-drop your AB1 files onto the program icon, and a quality report will open in your default browser (we recommend Safari). The report has many features including sortable columns, ratio of base quality display, Signal Strength readings, length of read measurement, and base spacing. Each Sample Name becomes a link, which pops open a new window allowing you to view the chromatogram (the trace with the 4 color peaks). Other features include the ability to export a FASTA file, quick links to BLAST and Vec Screen, and a detailed help screen. Sifter, also part of the suite, allows you to sort your DNA sequences by quality thresholds. Sifter is a Drag-and-Drop application - Drag a folder containing DNA traces on to the program icon. Simply specify the minimum number of quality bases you are looking to achieve, and Sifter will sort out any BAD runs so you can focus on just the GOOD data. ABI Comment Changer, also part of the suite, allows you to change (in batch mode or one-at-a-time) the comments in an ABI file. Simply drag the ABI files onto the program icon, and you will be prompted to specify the new comments. These 3 utilities will make sorting and managing DNA sequence traces on your Mac much easier than ever before!
