Compile scpt Description

The Compile scpt AppleScript can be used to effortlessly generate an .scpt file (execute-only compiled script) out of any .applescript. Once launched, Compile scpt will generate the .scpt file in a "bin" subfolder, within the .applescript's file folder. If the "bin" subfolder is not available, Compile scpt will take maters into its own hands and will automatically created it for your before saving the .scpt file. In order to install it on your computer, launch the Automator application and choose to create a new Service. Next, set the service to receive files and folder from the Finder as input and then drag the "Run AppleScript action in the right panel. To finish creating the service, copy and paste the contents of the Compile scpt.applescript from the downloaded archive within the added Automator action. Saving the output workflow as "Compile scpt" makes it available within the Finder contextual menu, ready to be used for compiling any applescript files on your computer with a mouse click.
