Basic spreadsheet program, designed for the average user BC Spreadsheet is a fairly basic spreadsheet program, designed more for the average user than for doing extensive calculations, although nothing necessarily precludes heavy use.BC Spreadsheet supports nearly all of the features including cutting and pasting, insertion and deletion of rows and columns, a customizable appearace, basic graphing, and it uses fairly standard parsing of formulas including recognition of ranges of cell The most severe limitation of BC Spreadsheet is that the only file type it produces that can be opened by other applications is comma separated values (CSV). This file type does not preserve the formulas used to generate values, only the values themselves, but it is recognized by an enormous number of applications.This limited compatibility doesn't limit you from doing any calculations of your own in BC Spreadsheet and using it's unique filetype (sps). BC Spreadsheet also supports copying of cell images into other applications, as well as the generation of HTML code for a spreadsheet as a means of easily sharing information.
