Apache Crunch Description

Apache Crunch is a small library that provides a simple framework for testing, writing and running MapReduce pipelines. Apache Crunch provides a Java API for tasks like joining and data aggregation that are tedious to implement on plain MapReduce. The available APIs are especially useful when processing data that does not fit naturally into relational model, such as time series. It is developed using the Java programming language and can be run on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
