AbruStop Privacy Protection is a simple System Preferences pane that will help you create your own firewall in order to make sure you block all unauthorized internet connections. AbruStop Privacy Protection is a great tool if you are looking for a way to prevent certain applications installed on your Mac from connecting to the internet without your knowledge. AbruStop Privacy Protection comes with its own installer and uninstaller packages which make both processes extremely straightforward. The installer will place the AbruStop Privacy Protection preferences pane in your system’s Library folder and to access it you must launch the System Preferences app. By default, all features are locked and you need the system admin password to authorize any change. AbruStop Privacy Protection provides 3 firewall states: Filter, Allow All or Deny All. Moreover, it includes different protection modes: Silent, Learn, Interactive and Don’t respond to inquiries. The app is also able to log your activity. AbruStop Privacy Protection automatically detects the applications that attempt to connect to the internet and, through a basic drop down menu, you can choose to allow or deny the connection. AbruStop Privacy Protection is able to validate the code signature, provides support for multiple protocols and allows you to adjust the configuration in real time.
