OpenNAS Description
OpenNAS is an open source and 100% free operating system based on the popular and powerful FreeBSD operating system. It supports ZFS snapshots, target and initiator iSCSI, and SNMP. OpenNAS has been designed to allow users to easily and quickly share files via NFS, CIFS (Samba), FTP, AFP, rsync, and iSCSI. It uses HAST (Highly Available Storage) for high availability, and supports S.M.A.R.T. for hard disk drives. Users will be able to configure OpenNAS via its easy-to-use Web-based user interface. The project is distributed as a single Live CD ISO image, supporting only the 64-bit architecture.
