KDE Telepathy is a suite of open source applications and plasmoids for KDE Software Compilation, allowing users to chat, transfer files, make video calls, and much more. KDE Telepathy supports popular Instant Messaging (IM) networks, including Facebook, Jabber, Google Talk, SIP, Steam, and lots more, offering a complete, multi-protocol instant messaging solution on your KDE desktop. As its name suggests, the application uses the Telepathy framework as its backend, supporting voice, text, video, and inter-application communication over several IM protocols. KDE Telepathy is designed from the ground up as a replacement for the Kopete instant messaging client, but with better integration between various components of KDE Software Compilation.
