yuv viewer is a lightweight software application designed specifically for helping you view YUV data sequence in YUV video files, compare files to see if the binary images match, as well as calculate the quality metrics, namely NQI, VQM and PSNR. User interface and supported file formatsYou are welcomed by a clean and simple design that integrates several dedicated parameters. There’s also support for a help manual in case you want to find out more about the configuration process. The program works with several file formats, such as IYUV, YV12, UYVY and YV16. Displaying YUV sequencesyuv viewer gives you the possibility to seek for a position in the video streams, start or stop the current file, rewind data from the selected position, go the end of the file, go backward or jump forward by frame, as well as check out the number of frames analyzed by the utility up to the current moment and a total number of frames. When it comes to configuration settings you may select the data delimiter (commas or semicolons) for saving the statistic information to CSV file format and select the PSNR calculation method. Defining YUV view parametersyuv viewer allows you to set up the dialog window where the file is analyzed by providing details about the type of YUV data, width and height of the file frame, and frame rate. Comparison options The Compare panel reveals the original file, results and statistics. You may step backward or forward by frame in the original file, view compliance indicators (the blue color indicates compliance while red stands for the opposite), as well as enable zooming.
