pitch perfect is a lightweight Windows application whose sole purpose is to help users generate audio tones by altering the pitch. Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry. You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to create different audio tones on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps. pitch perfect sports a clean and intuitive layout that allows you to carry out most operations using your mouse. The user interface is based on a chromatic circle (resembling a pitch pipe) divided into different areas, which represent the musical notes. Additionally, the tool reveals the musical symbols near each area, so you can quickly identify the notes. Selecting a note can be done by simply performing a left-click mouse operation on the desired area of the circle. One of the best features bundled in this utility enables you to alter the sound in real time by dragging the mouse throughout the chromatic circle. What’s more, you can adjust the volume by clicking and dragging the mouse closer to the center of the circle for quite sounds or closer to its edges for loud tones. Another notable characteristic worth mentioning enables you to select between four different types of tones, namely sine, square, or sawtooth wave, or various instruments (trumpet, oboe, organ), which can be accessed right from the main panel or using a number key (1-4). On the downside, there is no support for exporting options. During our testing we have noticed that pitch perfect carries out a task very quickly and provides good audio quality. However, it is not quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer may be affected. As a conclusion, pitch perfect seems to be the right choice in case you are looking for a simple-to-use audio application that bundles only a few functions for helping you play musical notes.
