Business Intelligence (BI) refers to skills, processes, technologies, applications and practices used to support decision making. The techniques used in BI can also be used in "Knowledge discovery" and vice versa. Analytical methods, reporting and data visualization are frequently used. We are presenting a tool for BI using animated graphs.They say a picture is worth more than a thousand words. People have a better feel for graphs than numerical tables. Interactive graphics are supportive of analytics and reporting. People spot changes and nuances more easily in visual presenations. bi-drillet leverages this natural skill. bi-drillet will present a "slice" of a "cube" as a 2D bar graph and will animate a "dimension". Main features: Indicators: Indicator of a bar is represented by a ballon and a label. State status: Labels of current, previous and next change are shown here. When animation is going on you can stop and examine data of current 'state' by clicking Data button. Graph display area: At any time graph of current state is shown. bi-drillet calculates scale based on data of all states. When the animation is running, the heights of bars change. Animation control buttons: The buttons Animate, Pause, Resume Stop repectively start,pause,resume and stop animation. When the Animation button is clicked all the states are cycled and stops when last state is shown. You can Pause and Resume when the animation is running. When Data button is clicked data values of current, previous and next state in a popup. If the animation is running, animation is stopped and a popup appears. When the popup is dismissed the stopped animation is resumed. Speed of animations is controlled by Fast|Slow slider. Threshold controls: Two sliders control threshold values used by indicators.
