Webcam 1-2-3 is a web video streaming tool for Windows. It is the kind of tool that you would install on your system if you wanted to broadcast the video feed off your webcam to the Internet from your computer, without buying any additional hardware. Webcam 1-2-3 can grab the video from your USB video camera and broadcast it in a variety of ways. The application installs a web server on your computer and it creates an HTML website that can be accessed by anyone who knows your IP address. You can of course give your stream a password so that it is a little more protected. The web server works very well, I have to say. You can change the port and set a limit to the connection number. The video compression is very impressive, and thanks to it, good quality streams can be achieved with very little bandwidth usage. Other than the Web server, Webcam 1-2-3 can upload image snapshots or video files to FTP servers, or create an HTML file that you can upload to your own host and then redirect the video to that website. The company behind Webcam 1-2-3 even gives you an URL for your users to access your computer if you register the product.
