Web Page Source Fetcher is a useful application with a pretty self-explanatory name. Its purpose is to provide you with a fast and comfortable means of viewing and exporting the source code of a user-defined URL. Simplicity is one of the main characteristics of the program and generating the HTML code of a certain pages is just a matter of a few clicks. Practically, all you must do is supply the URL you want to process and press a button. The source is generated in an instant, but unfortunately, it does not allow syntax highlighting. You can either copy it to the clipboard in order to paste it in another application or export it to your computer for later use or reference. The range of output formats includes HTML, HTM, XHTML, PHP and plain TXT files. While this application comes in handy for any web developer, the same result can be obtained using the built-in functions of any of the big players in the web browser sector. Furthermore, the generated source code features syntax highlighting and its formatting mode makes it much more intelligible. You also have options for modifying the character encoding mode or the text size. Aside from being able to generate the source code of a webpage, the application is capable of opening previously saved files for viewing and editing. Therefore, its functionality is not limited to retrieving a webpage's source code. It can also be used as a HTML editor and a text processor for plain TXT files (nevertheless, it does not incorporate the same features and tools as a text editor, since it is mainly intended for processing source code files).
