VRML Viewer Description

VRML Viewer is a lightweight and portable software application that enables you to view 3D models in a user-friendly working environment. It comes packed with standard options that can be easily configured by all types of users, even the ones with little or no background in computer tools. Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the program files in any location on the HDD and just click it to run. Another way is to save VRML Viewer to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer directly, without previously installing anything. An important factor to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and traces are not left behind on the hard disk after program removal. The interface is made from a regular window with a plain layout. It it not particularly appealing but easy to navigate. 3D model files can be opened using the file browser only, since the drag-and-drop function is unsupported. So, you can use the mouse to rotate the 3D model and put motions in loop mode, reload it, switch to full screen mode, as well as select the viewer between examiner, plane and fly mode. There are no other notable features provided by this tool. VRML Viewer has minimal impact on computer performance, since it runs on low CPU and RAM. It is very responsive to commands and performs smoothly. No error dialogs were shown in our testing, and the tool did not hang or crash. We have not come across any issues. Unfortunately, VRML Viewer has not been updated for a while and it is not very rich in features. Nevertheless, it offers a simple solution to viewing 3D models in a comfortable workspace.
