Undo Delete Description

Undo Delete is a file recovery application designed to help you get back the accidentally deleted data. Supposed to perform such an important task, Undo Delete impresses with its user friendly approach, offering an intuitive interface and detailed features to make sure you're on the safe side all the time. The whole recovery process has been designed as a wizard, so you only need to follow a few steps to recover lost data. You are initially prompted to choose the areas to be scanned for deleted files and folders, which can be either a hard drive, CD/DVD discs, removable drives and other partitions. Of course, you then have to pick the drive to scan and choose from two different modes: quick scan for selecting the deleted files from the Master File Table and deep scan for verifying every sector of the hard disk. Depending on your settings, the scanning process can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours. Afterward, you can see a detailed results window with information such as file name, extension, location, size and attributes. The good thing is that Undo Delete also boasts a preview utility, so you can have a look at the file even before recovering it. Just select the files you wish to recover and you're done. A settings screen is also available, allowing you to check the file header for extensions and show the scan types window before scan starts, although you can also pick your preferred mode from the get go. All in all, Undo Delete does what it says and recovers most files removed either accidentally or by a virus. It's not 100 percent effective though, but it does a good job without affecting system performance. Reviewed by Bogdan Popa, last updated on March 23rd, 2012
