UDP Unicorn Description

UDP Unicorn is a lightweight and portable piece of kit designed for testing the network security; it creates UDP packets (User Datagram Protocol) and floods a target. Since installation is not a requirement, you can save UDP Unicorn to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, and run it on any computer. This way, you can keep UDP Unicorn in your pocket whenever you're on the move. Alternatively, you may simply drop the executable file on any location of the hard drive and run it. The most important aspect is that WIndows Registry is not updated with new entries, and no files are left behind on the hard drive after removing the app. The interface of the program is made of a standard window with an uncomplicated layout. So, you can input the target IP address and port number, as well as set the packet size or enable random mode. But you may also specify the number of threads and sockets per thread, as well as establish the delay and timeout intervals. Initializing "attack" mode is done with the simple click of a button. During this time, you can view the size of sent data and, if you stop it, you can reset this counter. Other tools of the program let you ping the target and reverse the DNS. The simple-to-use application is very low-demanding when it comes to the CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and works smoothly, without causing the operating system to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
