The Perfect Storm Screensaver Description
The free screensaver, The Perfect Storm, was created by RateMyScreensaver.com and contains 12 high resolution images of awesome storms on planet Mars. Mars has the largest dust storms in the Solar System. These can vary from a storm over a small area, to gigantic storms that cover the entire planet. They tend to occur when Mars is closest to the Sun, and have been shown to increase the global temperature. Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and is known as the Red Planet due to its reddish appearance as seen from Earth. The planet is named after Mars, the Roman god of war. A terrestrial planet, Mars has a thin atmosphere and surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the volcanoes, valleys, deserts and polar ice caps of Earth. It has the highest mountain in the solar system, Olympus Mons, and the largest canyon, Valles Marineris. Mars' rotational period and seasonal cycles are also similar to those of the Earth. - wiki Screensaver Picture Count: 12 Screensaver Type: Slideshow Credit: All images in this screensaver provided by NASA and the ESA
