Splign Description

Splign is a compact application that can be used in command line mode for computing cDNA-to-Genomic or spliced sequence alignments. The program provides accuracy in determining splice signals. You can also use it for recognition of short exons and non-consensus splices where it is feasible, It has the ability to identify and separate multiple compartments typically representing gene copying events. The program is used internally at NCBI is used to compute transcript alignments as a part of NCBI Genome Annotation Pipeline.
