Every Windows Phone has a built in accelerometer that's accessible via Microsoft.Devices.Sensors. Using the Accelerometer API is easy; however, the sensor output contains raw information, and it's up to the developer to figure out what to do with it. That's one of the reasons that Dave Edson wrote the Accelerometer Helper Library, which was used in the Shake Gestures Library. But even with Dave’s library (which was super helpful), it's still up to the developer to interpret the input vectors’ meaning.This is why this library was created, to allow developers to customize and imtegrate shake gestures within their projects. The Shake Gestures Library enables developers to register for “shake gesture” events in their applications. You can configure how strong you want your end user to shake, for how long, and in which direction to generate shake events. Shake it up!
