Quick-Burn Description

Finding the right piece of software to burn an audio CD isn’t such a difficult job with so many burning products on the market, but Quick-Burn claims it has what it takes to tackle such a problem. The application was developed to be easy to use, so the main screen should be enough for any rookie who wants to create an audio CD on the go. It holds the essential options, so you can quickly select the files to be burned to disc, pick the burning device and the writing speed. What’s more, Quick-Burn allows users to save and load file lists, which makes it easy to build multiple discs with the same files. Drag and drop support doesn’t work on Windows 7, which is quite a problem five the fact that users have no other option than to select all files manually. The application supports both WAV and MP3 files for the creation of audio discs that can be played in any home or car stereo system, but in addition it also offers Burnproof support for a seamless burning project. The burning engine isn’t quite fast though and sometimes the application moves really slow regardless of the Windows version running on your system. It doesn’t affect the overall system performance, but it needs a lot of time to complete every burning task. Overall, Quick-Burn is nothing more than a simple burning tool that has to be significantly improved in order to compete with the top players in the industry. It offers very basic burning features and nothing more. Reviewed by Bogdan Popa, last updated on June 23rd, 2012
