Proxy Finder Pro Description

Proxy Finder Pro is a handy utility that automatically searches the Internet for new proxies using a large database of sources. One of the things that really need to be mentioned is that Proxy Finder Pro requires minimal user input, doing the whole scanning and filtering task all by itself. The decent look is mostly focused on the scan results, so you can see each proxy IP, port and number in a very clean layout. What's more, the same window is being used to show the total number of found proxies and the final number of available items, without duplicates and other special entries. In other words, you get a list of working proxies that should be up and running at the moment of the scan. There are no settings to play with, but Proxy Finder Pro lets you save the list to the local disk, thus allowing you to import the results in other third-party apps. That's great news indeed, since there are plenty of apps out there working with such lists and finding several proxies that really work is often a very difficult job. On the other hand, Proxy Finder Pro lacks a lot of important utilities, such as browser support to easily set up a proxy in the browser. What's more, you can't choose the type of proxy you wish to scan for, but the developer claims that “most” of them are actually HTTP proxies. You can't configure the list of websites to be scanned, which means that you are not allowed to add new entries or delete the existing ones. Overall, Proxy Finder Pro is a tool that serves its purpose, although it's very clear that many improvement are still needed. It can be installed by both beginners and those more experienced thanks to a very straightforward approach, so the lack of a help manual shouldn't bother you too much.
