ProcessGovernor Description

Computers running multiple applications and background tasks simultaneously is nothing new. However a problem that has never been adequately addressed is how to deal with badly behaved or busy processes. The program prevents applications or drivers from claiming all of the CPU time so that all active applications can continue running. By automatically reducing the priority of a busy process following preset rules, the user can continue to use his computer. Typically the system will become less responsive, or sometimes even impossible to use. The solution for this is usually to upgrade the hardware, which only reduces but never actually eliminates the problem. ProcessGovernor was written to solve these issues by adjusting the priorities of specific processes according to the load they are placing on the system.
