Pentium FP Check Description

The Pentium FP check is a windows based program that validates whether or not a specific Pentium CPU has the infamous Floating Point bug. The check utilizes a worst case number ratio, known as the Coe's ratio, to do this. The program calculates Coe's ratio and compares it to the correct value. If the result does not match the anticipated value, an error exists and the Pentium processor of the computer should be replaced. The "About" menu contains the INTEL telephone number for CPU replacements. There has been a lot a debate on whether or not an owner of a computer with a Pentium Floating Point Bug should be replaced.
