OnLAN Messenger Description

OnLAN Messenger is a client-server multi-user application for message and file exchange. This product has been specially developed for use inside corporate networks (enterprise instant messaging), therefore its functions and settings in the first place are oriented on corresponding to the needs of the different level companies for safe, secure, handy and controllable instant messaging solution. OnLAN Messenger service consists of three program modules: Server part: ■ OnLAN Server (server) ■ OnLAN Monitor (monitor) Client part: ■ OnLAN Messenger (client) OnLAN Server module supports different types of exchange between service clients, organizing access to the database. There are two types of administration: console and web-interface, with ability to separate administrators roles. OnLAN Monitor module is a support module for OnLAN Server. It starts or stops server (automatically or manually) and provides server recovery if error occurred. Both of these modules are system services and work in close contact with server computer operating system core. They are installed on the same server computer, therefore monitor is working in "local" mode. You will also be able to monitor the server working from any workstation in the company network in the remote mode. Client part of OnLAN Messenger service consists of only one module OnLAN Messenger(client). It should be started on every machine that is connected to the messaging service. Main features: Client features: Multilingual interface. Information encoding. Information compression to decrease network traffic. Safe and secure message transport. Message delivery, decoding, and decompression confirmation. 100% guarantee of message reading. When you stop service or shut down computer unread message continues to have "unread" status and then appears each time you start messenger until you confirm it. Fully adjustable and controllable (local or remote) program functionality and interface. Server WEB interface to add a new user or change user's data. Client may be fully full-scale or may have limited access (for example, only receiving messages and not sending). Messages sending and receiving. There's a multifunctional text editor window with an opportunity to add objects, pictures, and smileys. Files sending and receiving (adjustable functionality: no limits, receive or send only). You can send a message to online and offline (all) users. When you send a message to offline users, message is sent to the server. User receives a message when he connects to the server (starts program). Message contains delivery date and time. Users context search. Fast search and fast sending. Auto start program when OS starts. Saving separated settings for different program accounts. Users cannot exit program. Only administrator can terminate program. Balloon tips. You can change program account without restarting program. Messages history (incoming and ouutgoinng) Separated message history for different users. System message history.
