It comes with settings and preferences that you can tweak to create the type of PDF files that better fit your preferences. Despite its name, this program cannot convert “All” types of documents into PDF. Actually, when it comes to text-based documents, it supports merely all Office formats plus HTML, TXT, and RTF files for the input, leaving other common formats, such as OpenOffice and e-book file types, out of the list. As for images, it does support nearly all the most commonly used types, such as JPG, BMP, PNG, TIFF, PCX, and GIF, among others. On the plus side, however, Okdo All to Pdf Converter Professional goes beyond the basic “PDF printing” solution that similar tools provide. For one thing, it supports batch conversion – thus, you can convert as many files in as many supported formats as required in one single operation. When building your conversion list, you can add individual files, entire folders, and even web sites and their internal and/or external links to other pages. To do so, the program opens a new window where you can first extract all the links in a given web page (to the link depth of your choice) and then add them to the list. Once on the conversion list, you can choose which to convert and which to ignore. You can define the size and the margins of the output pages, convert every page on a Word or RTF file into individual PDF files, and – when converting Excel spreadsheets into PDF – you can choose to merge the sheets and adjust the sheet size to the dimensions of the output page. Additionally, you can add a password and various permissions to the resulting PDF, as well as a watermark if needed. All in all, Okdo All to Pdf Converter Professional offers an interesting solution for bulk PDF conversion. It may not be the most sophisticated and customizable conversion tool out there, but some users with a bunch of not-so-complicated source files may find its simplicity appealing.
