Simple way to organize and keep important folders on desktop More space Places doesn't have to be always fully opaque - You can change each place visibility behaviour, so it will be transparent when not selected or hidden when desktop is not focused. Easy access everywhere By default places are pined to desktop, yet by just select existing place, right clicking on its area and choosing "pin to top" they will float over other Z-order windows. Scale elements Change size of displayed elements by simply holding control key and scrolling mouse wheel to adjust their size or just change scale from features menu. Skins Change look of each place individually, on the fly - from its features menu by choosing one of the inbuilt skins like old paper theme or cloud-sky one.
