Newton's Method Description
Newton's Method is an efficient way of finding the zeroes (or roots) of a real function f(x). It also acts as a function evaluator to an accuracy of about 15 significant figures. You can enter a wide variety of functions for f(x). REALbasic's RBScript translates the function into machine language so the numerical calculation proceeds as rapidly as if the function had been compiled into the application from the source code.
