Modbus Master Description

Modbus Master is a lightweight Qt-based implementation of a Modbus master application. It helps you communicate with Modbus RTU and TCP slaves and monitor and examine all traffic on the Modbus. The advantages of being portableThe tool comes wrapped up in a portable package that can be run on your system by simply opening the EXE file. It doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows registry and other configuration data in your computer, so you can run it without administrative privileges. You can get rid of the utility by deleting the files that you have grabbed from the Internet. Copying it on any USB flash drive or other devices is also possible. Clean looksModbus Master sports an intuitive layout that allows you to easily check out the number of packets and detected errors. In addition, it implements a smart set of buttons in the main layout that helps you easily trigger a set of features, such as scan, read/write, connect or reset counters. Working with the monitoring toolYou can start or stop the Modbus monitor, clear the entire working space with a single click, check out RAW and PDU data, as well as save the information to plain text file format. Setting up the Modbus RTU and TCPModbus Master lets you select the serial port, baud rate, data bits, stop bits, parity and RTS. When it comes to setting up the Modbus TCP, you are allowed to specify the slave IP and TCP port. What’s more, you can specify the maximum number of lines used for monitoring data and enter the response timeout (in seconds). Modbus Master offers you the possibility to select the Modbus mode, slave ID and scan rate, start address, number of coils, format, and function code.
