The interface of the tool is plain and simple to navigate through. Video clips can be imported into the queue by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is unsupported. Batch processing is allowed. In the list you can check out the name, duration, target type and status of each file. So, all you have to do is specify the output directory and format, in order to proceed with the encoding job. But you can also configure audio and video settings when it comes to the codec, size, bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, sample frequency rate and channel mode. Optionally, you can disable the audio stream. On top of that, you can preview clips in a small, built-in media player and trim them by marking the start and end position, remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue, as well as enable Mini Video to MP4 Converter to overwrite existing files and to automatically turn off the computer once all tasks have been completed. The video conversion software takes up a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to preserve a good image quality in the output videos. However, Mini Video to MP4 Converter failed to copy the audio stream in all of our cases and popped up an inconclusive error (we tested the tool on both Windows 7 and XP).
