Microsoft Windows 95 Update: Winsock/DNS Upgrade for PPTP Description

From Microsoft: Winsock/DNS Upgrade 1.2 for PPTP allows your computer to use Point-to-Point Tunneling protocol (PPTP). PPTP enables your computer to simultaneously connect to the Internet and to a remote network. The upgrade supports PPTP by enabling Windows 95 to search Domain Name Services (DNS) on more than one network. If you don't install Winsock Upgrade 1.2, you may encounter situations in which host names are not recognized. If you choose to perform the upgrade, and certain applications stop working, you will have to re-install these applications. NOTE: This download is not intended for use on computers running Microsoft® Windows® 98.
