Download this update to prevent users from bypassing the permissions in the Exchange 2000 information store. When Windows 2000 NNTP Services are configured to post to Exchange 2000 public folders, this vulnerability might allow users to post and read messages regardless of the permissions set for them in the Exchange 2000 information store.
