Memory Editor is a tool designed to allow you to hack game and application memory in order to perform various modifications to them. In a game for example, you might want to increase the amount of gold or experience you have. The application is build in Java and uses JNA technology. It displays a user-friendly interface or you can say that it does as long as you are familiar with what it’s intended for. Otherwise, it’s a good idea to read the manual before you begin. Memory Editor automatically recognizes any applications that are currently running and enables you to view the layout of their memory in a list. If the game or app you want to work on isn’t seen by Memory Editor the a simple click of the ‘Refresh’ button should solve the issue. The application notifies you in case any errors are detected in the memory of the target game so you avoid tampering with something that already doesn’t work properly. If you know exactly what value you are looking for, Memory Editor allows you to search for it but if not, you can very well enter its start and end address and have the application look in that interval. Memory Editor also offers you the option of a second level search which helps you narrow down the results from the first one. The application compares the two sets of results and this way, you can figure out which values change and in doing so, you are able to identify the memory segment that interests you. In closing, Memory Editor is by all means a powerful tool that you can use to manipulate the memory of games or applications to your advantage.
