McFunSoft Audio Editor Description
McFunSoft Audio Editor is a software application which enables you to record, edit and convert sound tracks. It supports plenty of file types, including WAV, WMA, OGG, VOX and RAW. The interface of the app is user-friendly. So, you can start a new project by establishing the sample rate, bit depth and channel mode. Alternatively, you can load a track by using either the file browser or the 'drag and drop' method, as well as record audio. Several editing functions are available through McFunSoft Audio Editor. So, you can trim silent sections, crop an area, convert the sample type, add the current selection to a cue list, and edit the right, left or both channels. But you can also use the undo and redo functions, toggle between waveform and spectral mode, zoom in and out, reduce cassette or voice breath noise, as well as apply effects (e.g. invert, reverse, silence, amplitude, delay, flanger). McFunSoft Audio Editor also allows you to generate noise and silence, and to analyze the frequency. From the 'Properties' screen, you can set the total buffer for playing audio, establish the undo and redo maximum level, modify the default temporary folder, and enable auto gain control for recording, just to name a few. Settings can be restored to their default values. The audio processing program runs on a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time and delivers tracks with a good audio quality after conversion. We have not encountered any problems during our evaluation; McFunSoft Audio Editor did not freeze, crash or pop up errors dialogs. First-time user may take a while to get accustomed to the advanced settings. Reviewed by Elena Opris, last updated on February 7th, 2013
