3D model files which are usually used in the gaming sector cannot be opened unless you are using a dedicated tool for dealing with such a task. Not only does MDX Viewer help you open MDX documents, but it also comes packed with some useful editing tools and a conversion feature. The user interface is straightforward and you should be able to master this program pretty quickly. Once you have added the model files by using the built-in browse function, you can perform several actions, such as selecting from different view modes (wireframe, flat shaded, smooth shaded or textured) and changing the background, wireframe, shade and light color. Moreover, you may adjust the level of brightness, increase or decrease the animation speed, and import backgrounds and water texture. It is important to mention that hotkeys are also available, but they cannot be reassigned. The application also comprises a very useful option, as it allows users to merge up to six model files. You can also convert the final MDX document to MD2 file format. It is possible to take screenshots and create AVI files from the selected animations. The program offers time estimation for completing the conversion process. You can open a PAK file and view the most recent model files that were accessed. All things considered, MDX Viewer is a small but powerful software solution that can help you manage MDX documents pretty quickly.
