Longtion GIF Animator helps you create or edit a GIF animation for your website. The interface is quite intuitive, with large buttons corresponding to main functions and without many submenus that might confuse you. You can create both animated text or photo slide shows. Creating a text animation is an easy thing to do. There's a window where you should insert the text you want to display. The same window provides a series of customizing options, which range from changing the background (color or image) to modifying font size, text color, contrast, and more. When creating photo slide shows, you have the possibility to select the photos you want to insert. After each added photo, you may apply an effect style. You may choose among 150 different styles, with preview option included. You can insert a new frame or bring new editing effects to a picture at any moment, by means of a special button provided. When the editing process is done, you have the option to save your work in GIF format or as Flash Movie (SWF). In a few words, I could say that the program is relatively simple. If you have an experience with a photo or text editor, you will create the desired animation quickly. Unfortunately, the program supports only five types of Image formats - JPEG, BMP, PNG, ICO, and GIF. The last but not least, the price is rather high, which makes me keep looking for alternatives.
